July 17-19: Intermediate Studio Lighting taught by Rob Van Petten at
Bathhouse Studios, NYC

Pro photographer and instructor Rob Van Petten’s follow up to “Studio
Lighting 1” will enable the student to step beyond basic lighting
techniques and build a confident set of lighting skills reflecting
their own personal style applicable to any studio lighting situation.

Studio strobes, incandescent lights, speed lights and a variety of
light tailoring devices and cutting edge designs will be demonstrated.
Students will be asked to bring in samples of lighting techniques they
want to emulate and to then solve lighting problems using their own
personal style.

Itinerary:

DAY 1: 9am-6pm
Review basic lighting techniques learned in Studio Lighting 1
Lighting techniques for the face

DAY 2: 9am-6 pm
Lighting the whole body and full-length images
Study diagrams and implement lighting for various moods and effects
Studio practice with lighting gear and critic of technique

DAY 3: 9am-4 pm
Models in Motion …emotion through motion
One on One review of images
